Writing Tutor


Lesley Finn is a writer who works in various genres, particularly speculative short fiction. Currently she is at work on a novel set in the 18th century. She has taught writing at various universities, most recently within the discipline of gender studies. In addition to helping students learn techniques for generating compelling analytical and creative essays, Lesley consults on research strategies and projects ranging from book proposals to personal statements. She studied English at the University of Pennsylvania, Medieval Studies at Columbia University and the University of Cambridge, and is currently completing an MFA in Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia. She moved to the Connecticut shoreline two years ago.

Her office is in room 117 (in Entryway I) and her hours are Tuesday 10-2 p.m. and Wednesday 12-4 p.m.
